Sitters

Let a sitter use your membership while they cover your account, and manage who may.

Travian lets a player appoint sitters: other players who may log into their account to cover for them. With the owner's approval, a sitter can use the owner's membership while sitting, so every tool works on the account they are covering.

How it works

While you sit an account, the game shows the owner's account, so the extension sees the owner's player name and server. If that account has an active membership owned by someone else, you can ask the owner to share it.

Using the owner Ahmedzaki and the sitter Madara as an example:

  1. Madara signs in to the extension with his own Travian Toolbox account, then sits Ahmedzaki's game account.
  2. Madara opens the extension. It says This account is covered by Ahmedzaki's membership.
  3. Madara checks Your Travian name (shown to the owner so they know who is asking) and presses Request access from Ahmedzaki.
  4. The next time Ahmedzaki opens the extension, a Sitter request window asks him to Approve, Reject or decide Later.
  5. Once he approves, every tool works for Madara on Ahmedzaki's account, and the status strip says Sitting for Ahmedzaki.

For the sitter

You see What it means What to do
This account is covered by {owner}'s membership You have not asked yet. Enter your Travian name and press Request access.
Waiting for {owner} to approve you Your request is in. Nothing. The owner sees it next time they open the extension. Check again looks for an answer.
No access to {owner}'s membership The owner rejected or revoked you. Ask the owner directly.
Sitter access is off The owner has turned sitters off for this account. Ask the owner to turn on Allow sitters.

For the owner

When someone asks to sit one of your accounts, the extension icon shows a badge, and a window lists every waiting request the next time you open it.

Your sitters are managed from Account → Sitting in the extension, and on your account page:

Control What it does
Allow sitters The master switch for one membership. Off refuses every sitter and blocks new requests, but keeps each sitter's status, so turning it back on restores the list as it was.
Approve / Reject Answers a waiting request.
Revoke Removes an approved sitter's access.
Allow Gives a revoked sitter access again.

Each sitter shows a state (ALLOWED, PENDING, REVOKED, OFF, ENDED) and when they last used your membership.

Rules

  • Only active memberships can be shared. A pending, cancelled or expired membership cannot, and the sitter sees no request button.
  • Nothing happens automatically. The sitter has to ask and the owner has to approve. This also stops a stranger from typing a paid player's name to use their membership.
  • No limits. A membership can have any number of sitters, and one person can sit any number of accounts.
  • Sitting never transfers ownership. The membership stays yours. A sitter's access ends when your membership ends or is cancelled.
